StarDot's Open Source Statement

Certain components of the software included with StarDot network cameras and video servers are subject to the GNU General Public License (“GPL”), the Lesser GNU General Public License (“LGPL”), or other “open source” or “free software” licenses (“Open Source Software”). Some of the Open Source Software is owned by third parties. The Open Source Software is not subject to the terms and conditions of the section titled “StarDot Software License”. Instead, each item of Open Source Software is licensed under the terms of the end-user license that accompanies such Open Source Software. Nothing in this document limits your rights under, or grants you rights that supersede, the terms and conditions of any applicable end user license for the Open Source Software. In particular, nothing in this document restricts your right to copy, modify, and distribute that Open Source Software subject to the terms of the GPL and LGPL. As required by the terms of the GPL and LGPL, StarDot makes the Open Source Software provided under the GPL and LGPL available to the public in source code form at the web links listed herein. Further details about Open Source Software included with the StarDot network cameras and video servers are also provided below.

Software or firmware developed by StarDot that is unrelated to the open source software mentioned on this page does not fall under any of the Open Source Software licenses and is copyrighted by StarDot. Use of this StarDot developed software not relating to Open Source Software including but not limited to drivers, firmware, desktop applications, ActiveX applications and java applets, in both source code and binary formats is limited and may not be copied, modified, reverse-engineered or otherwise altered without explicit written permission from StarDot Technologies.
